Camera povs
This is a hand held shot and while I was doing it I was focused on not making it prefect and making it a bit shaky so it is obvious that it is held by hand.
This is a high angle shot and this was very enjoyable to shoot. Ella stood on the bottom of the staircase while I filmed from the top which gave the perfect high angle.
This is the point of view shot. This is what I can see whenever I walk down the stairs. I was thinking about how clumsy I am so I always watch my feel so I don’t miss a step and fall down.
This is a low angle shot. While filming this I thought about how cool this angle is because it gives the illusion of Ella being huge while in reality she’s small. It’s crazy how different camera angles such as me lying on the floor with my phone can impact a scene.
This is a two person shot as Carly and Ella were both in the camera clearly communicating about something. I was thinking about how I’m scenes they rarely stay still so I chose to move around and not stay in one spot.
This is the close up shot. This is the recreation of the sweaty close up scene from highschool musical 3 scene where Troy was in the middle of the basketball game when he was feeling tired and Gabriella sang and made him strong. I was thinking about how although it is close up how it looks much better at this pov rather than super crazy close up.
This is the distance shot. In the distance shot I was thinking about whether or not it should be completely still or if I should zoom in and out a bit, I ultimately chose to have some movement as it isn’t just a plain shot with no movement of the camera or Ella. I was thinking about the distance shots represented in the lion king and how they were memorable and how my video likely won’t be lol.
this is an over the shoulder shot and I was focused on making where the camera is being held obvious by showing her arm and hair slightly while projecting most of the attention over her shoulder.
This is the arc shot as it goes a complete 360 with the camera completely showing the setting. I was thinking about how still the cameras are in the full 360 so I tried to be as still as possible. I also thought about whether or not the characters are supposed to move but then I realized they do.
This is the crab shot which is following ella as she walks. This reminded me of how in mean girls the camera followed Regina as she walked which displayed how she is important and people care and follow her. The same with Ella as she is walking and the camera is following her.
I thought the hardest was crab as it was hard to walk at the same pace as Ella. I thought the easiest was the distance shot as all I did was hold the phone and zoom in an four a bit while being very still. That one used the least about of work or skill.
